Position Summary:
The Senior Assistant Bindery Operator manages the process, equipment and technical solutions used to ensure operational productivity, safety, adherence to quality controls, security and compliance with the Bindery
Other duties as may be assigned
Overtime may be requested due to operational need
Required Qualifications
2+ years experience in folding, padding, perfect binding, saddle-stitching, taping, scoring, punching, mechanical binding, collating, flat-cutting, coating, laminating and supporting bindery using quality production tools and process solutions
4+ years experience in all technical aspects of basic bindery equipment repair and maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience successfully managing and delivering customer requirements
Basic Proficiency in computer skills including for job ticketing, scheduling, timesheet, imposition, page layout, and binder/printing technologies
Basic technical troubleshooting skills for bindery/press production support and root cause analysis in press and bindery areas
Proven competency in basic math and printing technology components
Proven Ability to Multi-task and to communicate effectively with coworkers and management
Excellent analytical and logic skills and ability to rapidly assimilate new technologies and techniques
Ability to operate majority of binder equipment with proficiency
Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
Explore new opportunities that add to business value and reduce costs
Ability to inspect and maintain all work to ensure consistent error free quality Maintain inventory of all operational supplies and materials needed to perform daily duties
Working knowledge and experience in material handling, press and distribution areas to be able to assist in these areas as needed
Ability to meet deadlines, to meet the bindery production standards and work to improve daily
Education
Graphic Arts Trade School, 2 years Technical or Associates College or 3 years minimum in high quality/production bindery
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$17.00 - $29.88
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
