Position Summary
The Lead Director, Program Management is a member of the Enterprise Delivery team working with the business to enable business benefits by planning and delivery of cost-effective, high-quality solutions. You will support enterprise-wide goals to improve IT project delivery in execution speed and effectiveness, driving a consistent approach, and understanding and supporting the unique requirements of CVS Health.
Responsibilities include:
Direct project teams handling all aspects of solution delivery, product development, project planning, requirements gathering, scheduling and work planning, communications, issue resolution, cost tracking, financial reporting and change management.
Oversee multiple programs of significant magnitude regarding complexity, cost, time-constraints, internal and external staffing; allocate appropriate resources to meet timely completion of specific project tasks.
Ensure all projects administered by the PMO follow the best practices and standard approaches for program and project management.
Participate in departmental strategic and budgetary planning processes; prepare and administer work unit operating budget; provide recommendations on policies and goals desired; and implement new/revised programs according to established guidelines.
Manage all aspects of staffing a large workgroup, identifying needs, preparing job descriptions, screening and interviewing candidates, onboarding/offboarding, providing direction, assigning tasks and responsibilities, evaluating and mentoring.
Excellent communication skills to apprise senior management and product owners of ideation roadmaps, project status, issues and concerns.
Pursue issue resolution and communicates project status/issues to partners and operational management.
Be a liaison across all departments, including business units, information technology and outside vendors.
Manage change and promote continuous improvement of change management processes.
Coordinate all labor expense reclassifications with business and finance teams.
Interface with business executives to establish project direction and product change priorities.
Required Qualifications
10+ years' experience with IT management consulting hands-on project management and project delivery experience
10+ years' experience working directly with Senior Management to engage in complex IT and non-IT projects
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting senior executives or leaders is a plus
Experience supporting Finance is a plus
PMP Certification
Agile and Six Sigma Trained
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent required
Advanced Degree (MBA or MS in a technology field) preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
