CVS Health Lead Decision Scientist in Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Position Summary: Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Lead Decision Scientist to develop quantitative techniques and models to support analytics initiatives that maximize financial impact and value for the business. Duties include: design and lead implementation of price optimization solutions by collaborating with analytic and business partners from Finance, Engineering, Data, IT, and other analytics teams to develop effective solutions; enable data-driven strategic decision-making, identify opportunities to improve existing analytics solutions, and support new pricing initiatives; develop roadmaps and detailed project plans to succinctly convey progress and issues to senior leadership teams; develop business cases that estimate costs and benefits in order to demonstrate business value and guide prioritization decisions; support development and implementation of machine learning models and optimization algorithms; collaborate with key internal and external partners to gather and analyze needs and requirements; assess existing available data, identify data gaps, and collaborate with the Data Strategy team, IT, business partners, and outside vendors to develop approaches to closing the data gaps; coordinate projects and activities across multiple teams in a matrix organization; support analyses of data, ranging from descriptive ad-hoc analyses to in-depth investigations of drug pricing and healthcare utilization trends and outcomes using statistical modeling approaches such as regression modeling, time-series analyses, optimization and machine learning techniques including random forests and ensemble models; support design and implementation of robust analytic and reporting solutions based on identified needs; construct and deliver written reports in a variety of formats (reports, PPT) that include visualization of the findings, formulate recommendations, and effectively present the results for nonanalytic audiences; and apply creativity in developing analytic solutions based on available data sources, and represent analytic findings in reports, tools, and other media to support effective translation and application for customers Telecommuting available. Multiple positions. - Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Analytics, Analytics, Management Information Systems, Engineering Management, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Also requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following: data analytics for the healthcare or business services sector; analyzing large data sets from multiple data sources; SQL programming language; relational data warehouse technologies: Oracle, Teradata, or DB2; R or Python; and data visualization tools, including PowerBI and Tableau. Telecommuting available. Pay Range: $120750.00/year to $240000.00/year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
