CVS Health Executive Director, Value-Based Contracting - ACO in Woonsocket, Rhode Island

CVS Accountable Care, a CVS Healthspire business, is a strategic partner in value-based care serving more than 1M Medicare beneficiaries, and over 60K provider partners across 230 clients in ACO REACH, Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), and Medicare Advantage programs. We are model-agnostic, payer-agnostic focused on providing the support needed to successfully enable providers as they progress from limited to full risk. With more than 10 years of value-based care experience, we have worked together with diverse partner types including Academic Medical Centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers, Clinically Integrated Networks, and Independent and Community-based Providers. Our flexible services are customized to support our partners' individual needs for success in value-based care including technology and analytics, clinical programs, practice transformation, and administrative support.

We are hiring an Executive Director of Value Based Payor Contracting; this subject matter expert will be a key part of securing partnerships with national and regional Medicare Advantage payors to enable risk-based contracts with the CVS Accountable Care provider network. This position, working in tandem with business development, partner success, strategy, product, clinical, operations, and project management teams, must achieve established sales goals by developing new business opportunities and implementing business development initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with Business Development/Sales to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to proactively outreach to potential payor and provider partners to support achievement of objective.

  • Attend client meetings and be the VBC expert.

  • Assist with achieving Medicare Advantage growth objective by increasing attributed beneficiaries through multiple payors.

  • Engage and create relationships with stakeholders to drive the value proposition in the market.

  • Partner with marketing and the client success organization, execute accurate, powerful, persuasive sales presentations that effectively demonstrate the unique value proposition of Signify Health’s value-based care offerings.

  • Responsible for entering and maintaining new lead, contact, account, and opportunity data in our CRM system and for providing ongoing progress reports.

  • Partner with Strategy, Product, Technology and Operations on strategic roadmap and capability delivery that aligns with client needs and opportunities to unlock growth.

  • Partner with Finance and Actuarial teams to ensure contractual terms are acceptable and advantageous for our providers and Signify business.

Location - ability to work in an CVS Health in a Hybird model

Qualification:

  • 10 + years of experience in the healthcare arena.

  • Strong knowledge of Value Based Care Programs

  • Experience selling to and managing relationships with payers and providers, particularly in value-based payment models.

  • Strong knowledge and expertise in Medicare Advantage risk deals and payor contracting.

  • Proven experience of developing market strategies

  • Comfortable leveraging all sales tools (e.g. calculators, analytics demonstrations)

  • Excellent communications skills and strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and skill set that can build for purpose, actualize, and continuously improve in an operational environment.

  • Ability to travel to address client-specific needs – approximately 35% of the time.

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$131,500.00 - $303,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
