Position Summary

As a Strategic New Business Sales Director, you will be responsible for selling PBM and clinical programs into the Health Plan segment. This is a highly visible role within Caremark, and you will routinely work with the executive team during the sales and strategic planning process.

Your responsibilities will be:

*Leading all facets of the sales process which include, providing input on the financials, proposals, presentation process and contract negotiations.

*Building strong relationships both internally as well with external key prospects and consultants

*Influencing RFP responses and profit management opportunities by utilizing your consultative selling skills, deep knowledge of unique contractual parameters, and recommending and/or co-designing CVS Health solutions to meet key client needs.

*Best practice sharing/leadership on Business Unit and Team calls

*Mentoring other employees that wish to better understand the sales process in the health plan segment

*This position will need to reside the Northeast

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of cumulative experience managing a large complex sale in the PBM, health plan, or related healthcare field with a focus on new business development and a proven track record of success

  • Experience with large employer and/or Health Plan RFPs

  • Ability to interface with all levels with CVS Caremark

  • Demonstrated action/problem solving orientation

  • Experience with PBM products and services and a strong network of consultants you’ve worked with

  • Must be able to travel up to 50%. EducationBachelor's Degree required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$105,000.00 - $231,100.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
