Position SummaryHSE Business Partner – Midwest and South. The HSE Business Partner is directly responsible for the overall Health, Safety, and Environmental programs and is responsible for ensuring HSE procedures are being complied within all business unit operations within their assigned market (AL, IN, KY, MS, TN). The HSE Business Partner will be responsible for incident rates and trends which lead to workers compensation injuries and costs, patient, and customer safety, as well as ensuring adherence to all applicable federal, state, andlocal laws. The HSE Business Partner supports thetreasury department and HSE initiatives making safety and environmental management a priority in all facets of day-to-day business.Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements to include managing all state mandated safety and environmental programs, handle OSHA reporting and investigations.

  • Be an active partner with internal CVS groups / projectteams and act as CVS’ liaison to external agencies, andthird party vendors to manage overall risk and reduce costs associated with identified risks.

  • Evaluates the overall cost of risk to CVS and providesguidance and assistance in the development of strategiesto continually reduce these incidents, and enhance returnto work programs with the Workers Compensation group.

  • Participate in monthly meetings and/or conference callsto discuss safety matters with assigned Regions’ and/orDistricts’ management.

  • Participate in the development and implementation ofsafety training for assigned regions to reduce risk andincrease efficiencies in the work flow process.

  • Work with store operations management to ensure alllevels of HSE training is conducted, completed, andmonitored in the prescribed time frames and frequency.- Conduct in store compliance and safety assessments,providing guidance on corrective actions and follow up in a timely manner to ensure compliance is accuratelymaintained.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience operating safety management programs.

  • Ability to implement programs that are designed to mitigate risk and reduce claims for assigned region.

  • Ability and willingness to travel by car and airplane (up to 80% travel required within area, including overnights).

  • Must possess a valid and current driver’s license.

  • Must possess personal vehicle that meets and complies with company driving standards and is appropriately insured.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.

  • Prior experience working healthcare setting.

  • Knowledge of fire protection, OSHA, food safety, and hazardous materials regulations.- Possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently.

  • Ability to work within the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etc.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of related professional work experience in combination with years of education may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $132,600.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
