Position SummaryMicrosegment Account Manager in Aetna International's Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) segment located in the Mid America region. Provides account management duties for an assigned book of business.

Fundamental Responsibilities:

  • Communicates effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Provides product and service knowledge to clients, answering inquiries and addressing any issues or concerns.

  • Conducts routine account reviews to assess client satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and proactively address client concerns.

  • Coordinates with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and services to clients in such areas as billing, eligibility, plan documents, and plan installation.

  • Documents client interactions, updates account information, and maintains accurate records for effective record-keeping and reference.

  • Participates in training and development programs to enhance job knowledge and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

  • Handles escalated member issues in collaboration with Member Services and Claims. Works as a liaison between the the client and Aetna International regarding issues.

  • Manages annual insurance plan renewals, including negotiations.

Required QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of healthcare insurance experience in a client-facing role.Must hold an active resident insurance producer license or be able to obtain an insurance license within 60 days after the hire date.Experience with managing a book of business or handling multiple clients.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior insurance account management experience of 2+ years.Working knowledge of medical and dental insurance plan coverage.Understand basic underwriting principles.EducationAssociates Degree or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 2 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$40,600.00 - $85,100.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
