Position Summary:

As a Senior Manager of Learning and Development, you are a strategic partner for the Aetna Medicare CTM, Grievances & Appeals business. You are a people leader with accountability for learning program strategy and execution. The training audience includes a variety of front-line staff whom are directly responsible for helping Aetna meet compliance standards for healthcare claims. In this role, you are a leader and contributor making data-driven learning decisions leveraging Adult Learning principles and a team of Class Facilitators and Program Owners. You are an integral member of the CVS Health Enterprise Training Team within the Human Resources business unit and report to the Lead Director of Enterprise Training.

A day in the life in this position includes coaching your team to use technology, data, and adult learning strategy to solve business opportunities through colleague performance solutions. You will regularly meet with stakeholders to address business challenges and potential learning interventions. Data storytelling is a skill you’ll use on a daily basis to monitor colleague performance and communicate results back to your team and the business you support. You will be successful when program design and strategy is yielding positive, measurable performance results for the Aetna Grievances & Appeals business unit. You will thrive in a rapidly changing environment with a growth mindset, high energy, and inspire your team to think big.

You will accomplish this by:

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years’ experience in instructional design and development incorporating adult learning principles and a learner centric approach

  • 5+ years’ experience in supervising/leading a team of learning professionals

  • 5+ years’ experience in the development and implementation of effective measure program

  • 5+ years’ experience of performance consulting driving solid learning solutions addressing business needs and achieving business results

  • Willingness to travel up to 10 % (including plane travel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High competency in utilizing reports and data storytelling (QuickBase)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with audiences up to VP level Leadership

  • Strong collaboration, problem, and decision-making skills

  • Growth Mindset, Thought leadership and Emotional Intelligence

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously

  • Effective conflict resolution and relationship management

  • Ability to seek information to understand and influence as needed to achieve desired business outcomes

  • Master’s Degree in HR Related field

  • Certifications: PMP or Six Sigma Certification, BcD certification

  • Prior experience working in or leading teams in the Aetna Grievances & Appeals business unit

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,200.00 - $174,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
