Position Summary
Position Summary: CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Buffalo Grove, IL: Digital Principal Engineer to design and develop digital architecture solutions for enterprise software systems and platforms. Duties include: develop the technical architecture for assigned value stream to ensure successful product delivery and compatibility of system components; manage the architectural roadmap for assigned domain, including release of new features and updates with minimal disruption; work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into architecture plans for innovative digital solutions, with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability; evaluate product requirements, product vision, and technical feasibility; identify system components required to meet user needs; prepare technical design documentation including workflows, integration strategy, and technical blueprint; provide reference architectures and baseline implementations as needed; evaluate new technologies and Proof-of-Concepts (POCs); provide technical guidance on application development, systems architecture, APIs, micro-services, containers, databases, cloud infrastructure and cloud services, and software development best practices; work with teams to ensure products meet performance, availability, scalability, and security requirements; and mentor junior team members. Telecommuting available. - Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following: Apache Kafka and MongoDB; Git, Github, VersionOne, Jenkins, and Apigee; Amazon Web Service (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP); JEE, ReactJS, and Redux; Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, and Kibana; Spring Boot REST web services; and distributed architecture for enterprise applications. Pay Range: $153,650.00/year to $240,000.00/year.
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
