CVS Health Pharmacy Technician- Sterile Compounding in Boise, Idaho

Position Summary The IV room compounding Pharmacy Technician utilizes aseptic techniques to prepare and compound sterile admixtures such as parental nutrition, antibiotics, hydration, chemotherapy, and specialty medications, in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as Coram policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as USP 797/800 guidelines

  • Primary duty will be to compound patient-specific drug orders under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring that compounded sterile products (CSPs) are prepared with accuracy and of high quality and adherence to industry standards for world-class patient care

  • Responsible for maintenance of the sterile compounding suite, including, but not limited to, inspection, maintenance, cleaning, and sterilization of all laboratory equipment, instruments, utensils, and work surfaces necessary/required for compounding, and record/maintain pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs

  • Assist pharmacists and other operational personnel to meet company goals and initiatives surrounding improvement in patient care and leadership in the Home Infusion industry

  • Work closely with inventory personnel regarding monitoring of drugs, materials, consumables and personal garb to ensure accurate inventory

  • Must be able to lift 20-35 lbs repetitively throughout the day

  • All other duties as seen fit by the General Pharmacy Manager

    Required Qualifications An active technician license with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy is required to apply.

    Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal and people skills.

    Ability to adapt to quick changes in workflow.

    Willingness to multitask and promote a positive team environment.

    Excellent time management and organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program and/or prior experience in pharmacy compounding.

    1+ year(s) experience as a pharmacy technician.

    Education High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$17.00 - $25.65

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
